Eff cancer and Viva Las Vegas
The house and bags are packed, resupply boxes are dropped off, almost all of the goodbyes are said, and we're off at the crack of dawn for the trip. My emotions are all over the place today, but tomorrow is the start of something big.
Stage 1: Las Vegas, camping in the desert to get warmed up for the Mojave.
Stage 2: Las Vegas, setting up cancer treatment with my parents. Or rather, staying in a resort, (hopefully) going to Zion and other beautiful southwestern spots, dressing like a tourist, playing a penny slot or two, visiting our friend Meghan who will happen to be in the area, and intermittently going to a meeting or two with doctors. Because eff cancer and Viva Las Vegas.
Stage 3: Figure out how to get from Vegas to Campo, then start walking north.
And so it begins...
