I run for a variety of reasons, but I think
the most important one is that I’m the type of person who will wake up
on a morning like today, when it’s misty and cold in February in
Seattle, and grump around and wish it was Summer - especially after
having some central nervous system depressants the night before watching
the Huskies game.
After that, when I have the time, I can go to any number of trails and spend a couple of hours huffing up hills and cruising down them, realizing how beautiful this place is b/c of the sog and the moss, how magical it gets when it’s misty, and how perfect the mild weather is for running.
Related to that, today’s two hours on Cougar was about a half hour of hard, an hour of clear mindedness, and a half hour of euphoria. Great day for a run.
